Hide the presents and spike the punch! The irrepressibly funky Jazz Mafia collective celebrates the season with their Holiday Heist, purloining songs from under every tree. Featuring soulful vocalists, rollicking horns, and the ambidextrous work of Mafia chief Adam Theis pivoting from bass lines to trombone riffs, Holiday Heist offers something for everyone.

The group’s clever arrangements, crafted by former SFJAZZ High School All-Star Kyle Athayde and tuba expert Jonathan Seiberlich, offer a delightful mix of holiday favorites. Enjoy reworked versions of James Brown’s “Soulful Christmas,” a remix of Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” and playful renditions of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and Vince Guaraldi’s “Linus and Lucy.”

For over two decades, Jazz Mafia has been a major player in the Bay Area music scene, expanding their influence and continuously welcoming new talent. Their diverse performances, including multimedia shows and burlesque, keep audiences grooving and coming back for more.
